Things to do in Dublin this Christmas

Sleigh bells ring are ye listening? Its Christmas! There is just so much happening this year in Dublin in the run up to and over Christmas. We are spoilt for choice this year pantomimes, ice skating, markets and more, below is just a selection of events and things to do and further and more detailed infomation can be found on our events pages.

There are some really lovely events planned in December in Dublin to get the whole family in the Festive mood.

  • Christmas at Farmleigh - Farmleigh are hosting Christmas weekends over the first three weekends in December, carol singing, food markets, horse and sleigh rides, storystolling and a Live Crib are just some of the things taking place.
  • Opening of Live Crib - The Live Crib at the Mansion House opens on December 8th and will be open until Christmas Eve.
  • The Christchurch Christmas Markets take place on Saturdays in December, well worth a visit!
  • The Dame District Christmas Market takes place from Dec 17th- santas grotto, puppet shows,workshops, shopping and more.
  • 7up's Winter Wonderland is coming to The Royal Kilmainham Hospital from Dec 8th. A magical Christmas village with ice skating,  a christmas restaurant, markets, Santa , restaurants and more.
  • Barnardo's 5k Santa Dash- Join Barnardo's at UCD on Dec 12th for Ireland's biggest Santa Dash! A great morning out for the whole family whilst supporting a great cause.
  • There are lots of Christmas themed workshops and events taking place in the city's museums and art galleries and more information can be found on our events pages.

Santa seems to be extremely busy this year and is making appearances all over the city......All the Santa info can be found here. Our Mykidstime recommended Santa visit is Santa at Timbertrove, a truely magical Christmas experience. Don't forget to tell him Mykidstime sent you!

Ice Skating seems to have become a regular event over Christmas in Dublin. This year you can get skating in the following locations:
